Honey Can Cook

2012 – A Look Back

As the end of 2012 fast approaches I find myself reflecting back on events that took place in my life and kitchen.  The biggest event in my life would be Miss T heading off to college, leaving her parents as “empty nesters”.  I enjoyed the beautiful beaches of the BVI’s and USVI’s for the first time.  To my amazement I harvested over 20 gallons of honey from my precious bees. I taught my first cooking class at Central Market.  I watched with great joy as my oldest daughter LuLu, became engaged on Christmas Day in front of 20 family members.  I admit it was the icing on the Christmas cake!

From my kitchen came cheesecakes of different varieties, which seem to be the recipe most viewed on The Orange Bee.  I was reminded in looking back of at least a dozen new recipes I tried and fell in love with.  “Keepers”, I call them.  In no particular order I’d like to share my favorites from 2012 with you one last time.

Before doing that, I wish you a Happy New Year full of blessings, good food, good friends and boundless love!  I’ve got big plans and new adventures for 2013 so come back soon and see what’s happening at The Orange Bee!  “Cheers!”

Enjoy!

So much deliciousness! Here’s to a great 2013. Is it too early to break out the tequila?

Aww gee thanks! Too early to break out the tequila – now that’s a crazy question! How about champagne until January 2 and then let’s break out the tequila! We did do a few shots over the holiday week – I believe we polished off 2 large bottles of Don Julio! Happy New Year to you and Katherine!!
