This would also be a great tool in making chimichurri. I make a red and a green for flank steak. Marinate in the green chimichurri and serve with the red chimichurri after grilling. Yum!
Ingredients
Green Chimichurri:
1 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup fresh oregano leaves
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
8 cloves garlic
1 1/2 pounds skirt steak, cut crosswise into 3 pieces
Smokey Red Chimichurri:
1 cup finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon pureed chipotle in adobo
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Flat-leaf parsley leaves, for garnish

Green smoothies are my favorite! I’m just so lazy in the mornings that I prefer a quick grab and go option or I just end up going without breakfast. 🙁 I totally agree about soup season, I can have it every day these days!!
The Orange Bee says
I agree Autumn – quick and easy!
Brenda Haines says

I always use my Ninja single serve function to make my peanut sauce for stir fry, marinade for homemade BBQ pork and of course my smoothies. It would be great to have the compact version and not have to take the blender out of the cabinet all the time.
The Orange Bee says
Sounds like you’re a pro at using a Ninja! Good luck!
Calli says
I would use it to make overnight oats, smoothies, and almond milk!
The Orange Bee says
Oooohhh almond milk – it would be great for that! Good luck!

The first thing I would make is the Choc-A-Lot Frappe.

I would love a Peach smoothie in December–maybe add a few cranberries! Your site is great.
The Orange Bee says
Oh – yum that sounds like a killer combo! Thanks for your compliment!
Margot C says
Well, I don’t have a Ninja, but I love to make a Smoothie drink with Mango, Raspberry, Blueberry and Orange Slices with Oatmeal and Flax and Chia and Almond Milk. I cook the oatmeal just a bit and put a cold glob (that looks very unappetizing!) right in there and it make everything very silky and creamy.
The Orange Bee says
Cool – I’ll have to try that – Ninja could definitely handle that combo!
Kathy Eyre says
I’ve not tried a Ninji before but, I think it would be helpful for my butternut squash soup and I just know it would make a good smoothie!!
The Orange Bee says
You are exactly right Kathy! Perfect time of year for soup!
LynneMarie says
