Here is a new one for ya’. A recipe using honey that is a hand and body scrub. With summer upon us we need to be sure and wear plenty of sunscreen but also to exfoliate. I don’t know about you, but honestly I love for my body to feel soft and smooth as a baby’s butt.
Recently I attended a food bloggers conference and I found the recipe, as well as all the ingredients for this delightful scrub in one of my goody bags. When I first opened the orange, (my favorite color) Sunkist bag and found grape seed oil, a couple of packets of honey, a box of sugar and some grapefruit I wasn’t sure why I was given those particular items. I’m so smart, I ate the grapefruit, pink and sweet and delicious, not to mention a healthy source of vitamin C. Upon further inspection I discovered the recipe card for Zesty Grapefruit Sugar Scrub. I laughed! Luckily I can buy grapefruit at the grocery…
I mixed up a batch this week and tried it on my hands. It is wonderful and if you blot your hands dry as opposed to rubbing them the softness lasts a long time. I’m taking it in the shower today and using it on my entire body. My man Dan and I have a date tonight so I want to look especially soft and scrubbed. Oh! also the grapefruit is good for whitening your nails. It uses the juice of half a grapefruit so you can use the other half to spread the scrub on and then polish your nails with the flesh of the fruit….or eat it!
Thanks Sunkist!
Enjoy!
