Sweet Treat Party

What could be better than a party full of “Sweet Treats”? I can’t think of a thing! Lisa at “Sweet As Sugar Cookies” invited me to join her party with that delicious Orange Cheesecake. With these two recipes posted this month, I’ve decided to declare January “Orange” month. ( https://theorangebee.wordpress.com/2012/01/08/orange-shallot-dressing-and-a-january-bee/ https://theorangebee.wordpress.com/2012/01/06/orange-cheesecake/ ) Since orange is one of my favorite flavors this is pretty easy for me. All the recipes I post will include oranges in them in one way or another. You won’t want to miss these flavorful, refreshing, juicy, citrusy, delicious recipes. I hope it’ll brighten up your month.

I was pleased to meet a couple of new readers who expressed interest in my bee keeping adventures. Bee season is not far off and I hope to report many interesting and happy escapades with my beautiful bees. February will be the start of feeding season for the hives. Stay tuned…

Bees are critical for pollinating crops and honey is full of important nutrients. Keep up the great work which is an inspiration to others! You picked a perfect month for everything orange and I’ll be looking forward to your creations. It’ll definitely make my January a lot brighter!

I’m still stunned about your statement that without bees, we wouldn’t have 70% of the foods we eat. WOW! You simply MUST teach a class at Central Market. People don’t know these things and we need to. I will never squash a honey bee ever again.
